Remember when...

Christen's last post made me think a little bit about Keuka, and I began to realize that we will NOT be returning to campus in late August. While I was unable to nail down how I actually felt about this, I did however begin to think of things that I missed about Keuka life.

This may shock you....the first thing I thought of was, of course, food. Seriously! Think about it. Do you EVER have the option of eating pizza or french fries at any time during the day anymore? I know I don't. I had pizza like two weeks ago for the first time since school was out and I forgot how amazing it was (and America for that matter, since it was on Independence day, and for the record, America has perfected everything, including pizza). Pizza is the world's greatest food, and now I think how much I took it for granted at Keuka. Pizza is what we always ate when the food at the hot line sucked balls, which was often. Now, when mom tries to feed me too many vegetables, I have no sanctuary. Ahhh Sandy, how I long to see your face and eat the fruit of your work.

Two words...Community showers. I don't know if this was exciting for you girls as it was for us boys, but community showers were sweet. Fuck, that might have been the gayest thing I've ever said. Anyway, I miss the comradery (dunno if that's spelled right), the pranks, the beer in the shower, the story telling, and all that stuff. It may be weird, but its true, I do miss it.

Finally, probably the aspect of college I most yearn for is the opportunity to be an alcoholic, without the label. Dunno if you all realized, but it is no longer acceptable to show up to things drunk, or hungover. Well, I don't know if it was acceptable then, but consequences were very minimal. The days when drinking was a viable remedy to boredom are over. Going to the bar? Nope. Power hours? Nada. Funneling, wine tours, kegs...distant memories. How's my tolerance you ask? It's going down faster than Christen at typical Keuka party. Ha, thats fast! Sorry...inappropriate.

There are many more things that I miss, but its too soon to reveal them. I wanna hear y'all weigh in first. What does everyone else miss about Keuka? Collin, do you miss the endless supply of townies to rumble with? Laura, do you miss the photo ops? Greg, do you too miss food, more specifically, the salad bar? Schaffer...I don't even have to ask. I know you miss the sausage.
