I miss it all....

is it any surprise that I miss it all? I knew I would miss Keuka the second I left...

I was going to leave Brady a comment on his last post... and then decided I could make a whole post out of it...

ughhhh....... 1st of all.... it is a given... that i freakin miss EVERYTHING about Keuka Baseball! I am multitasking with about 5 windows open... doing this... facebook.... myspace... email... email #2... and well... Simon Mills just left me a post about how games will not be the same without the #1 fan and without me taking pics..... words cannot begin to explain the memories with those guys (or should I say you guys!) Throughout the years new great friends were made... and awesome memories came along with it all... but the baseball boys have been a constant in my Keuka memories since the very beginning back in August of 04. It started with trips to the cemetary and spook hill, drinking wayyyy too much our first Spring Weekend, crazy vacations (brady... do you recall tailgating at an NFL game with a grill that didnt work AND freakin little juice HUGS.... NO BEEEER!) .... the memories with all of the baseballers throughout the years have been phenomenal... saying goodbye to ones older than us... and welcoming ones younger than us.... Good Old Kuhl Field will always have a HUGE chunk of my heart!

being an alcoholic.... of course I miss that... who doesnt? I have definitely lost a lot of tolerance... I was wasteddddd off my ass at Brian's 3rd of July bash and was puking the entire next day.... (PuKinG!?!?! .... I thought I never Puke!) power hours... funneling.... yeah.... and wine tours... Brady hit that right on target!

I miss going to bed at night and having Annnnners there to say goodnight to... and watch tv with... and wake up saying Roooooooomie in her whining morning voice....

and I miss the freedom... so much... I hate being home... having mom's rules... I think the one night she actually came in and it was like 11pm and I had to work the next day and she was like "it's bedtime.... dont you think you should be getting to bed?" ahhhhh!'

and finally... as Brady mentioned... the photo ops... I have barely pulled my camera out this Summer... I have here and there... just nothing too drastic. nothing like 5 facebook albums from one bar night..... or like 8 spring break albums 6 of which were baseball.....

and of course....misssss you my bestest friends!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember when...

Christen's last post made me think a little bit about Keuka, and I began to realize that we will NOT be returning to campus in late August. While I was unable to nail down how I actually felt about this, I did however begin to think of things that I missed about Keuka life.

This may shock you....the first thing I thought of was, of course, food. Seriously! Think about it. Do you EVER have the option of eating pizza or french fries at any time during the day anymore? I know I don't. I had pizza like two weeks ago for the first time since school was out and I forgot how amazing it was (and America for that matter, since it was on Independence day, and for the record, America has perfected everything, including pizza). Pizza is the world's greatest food, and now I think how much I took it for granted at Keuka. Pizza is what we always ate when the food at the hot line sucked balls, which was often. Now, when mom tries to feed me too many vegetables, I have no sanctuary. Ahhh Sandy, how I long to see your face and eat the fruit of your work.

Two words...Community showers. I don't know if this was exciting for you girls as it was for us boys, but community showers were sweet. Fuck, that might have been the gayest thing I've ever said. Anyway, I miss the comradery (dunno if that's spelled right), the pranks, the beer in the shower, the story telling, and all that stuff. It may be weird, but its true, I do miss it.

Finally, probably the aspect of college I most yearn for is the opportunity to be an alcoholic, without the label. Dunno if you all realized, but it is no longer acceptable to show up to things drunk, or hungover. Well, I don't know if it was acceptable then, but consequences were very minimal. The days when drinking was a viable remedy to boredom are over. Going to the bar? Nope. Power hours? Nada. Funneling, wine tours, kegs...distant memories. How's my tolerance you ask? It's going down faster than Christen at typical Keuka party. Ha, thats fast! Sorry...inappropriate.

There are many more things that I miss, but its too soon to reveal them. I wanna hear y'all weigh in first. What does everyone else miss about Keuka? Collin, do you miss the endless supply of townies to rumble with? Laura, do you miss the photo ops? Greg, do you too miss food, more specifically, the salad bar? Schaffer...I don't even have to ask. I know you miss the sausage.

Update on a short blonde

Hello everyone! I've been dying over some of these posts/comments...especially Collin and Brady. I think you two were meant for the blogging world. I figured I should write my first post. You guys don't understand how weird it is being here all summer!

Ahh Keuka College. Drink it in, it always goes down smooth. It's unbelievable that over a month after graduation, I'm still here. I wake up groggy every day and drag myself into work, which surprisingly goes by pretty fast. Before I know it, it's 4:30 p.m. and I'm out the door. "What should I do today," I ask myself. The answer usually lies somewhere between Space Hall and Point Neamo, since realistically there is nothing else to do on this small campus of ours.

It's funny because the whole idea that we're gone and graduatated hasn't sunk in for me yet (as it might have with some of you). Not only am I in a position where I'm prepping for all the incoming freshman to arrive, I'm physically here, day in and day out, as if nothing has changed and that we'll all be reunited again in a few short weeks for class. I don't think it will hit me until I go home at the end of August and start at a new school (yikes!)

Let's see...I've been trying to find things to do in the area. The most I've done is the Wind Mill a few times, Garcia's in Geneva (Collin, didn't you tell me about that place?). I also went to the Branchport fireworks for the Fourth of July, which needless to say was a combination of white trash with no teeth and crack babies screaming that the fireworks were too loud. All in all, good holiday.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying summer and we should all get together soon! :)

...this took a lot of effort...

I have been really trying to come up with something blog worthy. I finally had found an editorial cartoon in the newspaper on Sunday... I took a picture of it with my camera in case I couldn't find the jpg online.... well sure enough... I couldn't find it online... the picture doesnt show the whole thing... when I zoomed out to show the whole sketch you couldn't read it.... so... this will have to do... ENJOY!!!!!

R.I.P. Elantra

In case any of you haven't heard yet, there has been a serious death in my family. My Hyundai Elantra, rugged as she was, couldn't withstand a faceplant into the gaurdrails last Friday. Little bro fell asleep at the wheel driving to work after we had a night of boozing, only to be woken by the sound of shredding tire and Korean metal as he hit the gaurdrails. Even though I was pissed as hell, it could have been worse. Doing 60mph on a busy highway and falling completely asleep, who knows what could have happened. He could have went left, instead of right, and hit a car head on. If there weren't gaurdrails, it would have been straight into some monster trees. He could have took the truck instead of my car, in which case it would have went right over the gaurdrails. A million other things could have happened that would have led to a much more tragic ending, for the car, or for Matt. So in light of it all, who gives a fuck? The car might be totalled, but Matt walks away without a scratch, and I get to have fun car shopping again. Thats what insurance is there for right? As you may know, Collin and I have a bit of a knack for writing impromtu poetry, or at least we think so. So here you go Collin, in memory of a car taken from us all too soon...

RIP Elantra

Oh, Elantra, the times we have had...
We've seen some damn good times,
And ohhhh yes, the very bad

Trips to the bar while riding in the "boot,"
Seeing girls and Penn Yan townies as we pass
And tooting a horn that made the manliest hoot,

Pick up girls who want to ride in style,
I know you don't like metal
But bitch, don't you dare touch my radio dial!

You hit a couple deer here and there
And got pulled over by the cops as I screamed
"This is fuckin bullshit! It's not fair!"

Now it's time to say goodbye
Even though it wasn't a pleasant ending
You took it like a champ, and bro didn't die

ILL-adelphia

So I am pretty much all moved into my apartment located in Exton, PA. It's not too bad of a place and it is a pretty decent size. It's eerily similar to the white apartments next to Keuka. I don't know how many of you have actually lived in PA or have been in PA long enough to know the rules/laws.. Let me enlighten you.

Gas stations can't sell beer. However, WAWA is awesome. It is going to revolutionize the way orders are taken probably everywhere. You simply walk up to the touch screen in front of the food section and go to town. You can order subs (although, call them hoagies, these PAers get defensive about that sort of shit), soups, salads (see, Greg, you CAN come visit :-)), and even chili. The cool part is, you just touch all the stuff you want on the screen. It is INAPPROPRIATE to talk to the person making your sub, er, hoagie. Weird.

Everything is either really clean or really dirty. Like Exton, for example is the suckin' tits. Super nice mall, huge brand new housing complexes, and surprisingly smooth roads. Chester County is doing pretty well for themselves to say the least. However, take a quick ride on the R5 toward Philadelphia and you run into a little place called Milbourne. Yikes. Needless to say Schaffer would have a grand old time and Laura would walk around saying dumb things like "Whoa, look at all the broken windows!" or "OMG, why is that women dressed in hot leather pants, stilletos, and without a bra?"

People in West Chester don't care for Bam Margera. Actually, he isn't allowed in Chester County. Court ordered, sorry Jackass. HA. But everyone talks like him and if you're not careful, you think he is behind and shit. Kind of creepy.

Smoking. Holy Effing S people here smoke like little chimaneas. In fact, I think I have encountered more smoke shops than grocery stores, no kidding. Its difficult to go into bars because it's legal to puff puff pass inside. It's really inconsiderate! Hmph!

Gasoline! HA! No joke I paid
$3.96 for gas on the way down here. In YOUR eye. When you get closer to the city its like being back home tho, $4.25+. Fucking oil.

Philadelphia sports are insane. They have sports radio dedicated to Phila sports 24-7. Like yesterday I stumbled across a show all about the 76ers. In July. The 76ers!?! Basketball JUST got over. Side note: remember when the Celtics beat LA by like 100000 points in game 6, Brady? I do. Regardless, Philly fans are PHANATICS. Oh, and HATE the Mets. And the Yankees. And the Red Sox. And everything NOT Philadelphia. Freaks.

Anyways, thats a little bit of a run down of what I am experiencing right now. I went to the city the other day...
